The maps are made from open data. TurnerMadeUK credits every source on the site and on the credits plate glued to the back of each piece.

OpenStreetMap: other hill names, rivers, lakes, roads, paths and place names

Elevation

Mapzen Terrain Tiles on AWS Open Data, which combine several sources (full list), including SRTM (NASA) and EU-DEM (produced using Copernicus data and information funded by the European Union). Contains Environment Agency information © Environment Agency and/or database right.

Moon and Mars

Moon: SLDEM2015, from NASA LRO LOLA and JAXA SELENE (Kaguya) data. Mars: MRO CTX digital terrain models (NASA/JPL/MSSS), processed by the USGS Astrogeology Science Center. Feature names: IAU Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature.

Fonts and software

Fonts: Noto Sans, Fraunces and Instrument Sans (SIL Open Font License). Software: MapLibre GL JS, maplibre-contour, d3, three.js, polygon-clipping and opentype.js (open-source licences).
